About Therapeutic Consultation
Mission
As a Therapeutic Consultation Provider Kerry often meets people at a difficult low point in their life, and their loved one's and support system at the end of their rope. It is her mission to provide relief and hope during this difficult time through collaboration, support, and education.
Kerry is passionate about using a trauma-informed approach with Therapeutic Consultation. The numbers are staggering when you look at intellectual and developmental disabilities and rates of experienced trauma. Sadly, many people working in this field don't have the training to properly support individuals and their caregivers in these circumstances.
Experience
Kerry has a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, a Master's degree in Community Mental Health Counseling, and a post graduate advanced certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Originally from New York, Kerry has spent over a decade combining the two sciences of mental health and behaviorism to support those with differing abilities and co-occurring mental health conditions as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and later a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA, BCBA).
Currently, Kerry is practicing in the greater Richmond, Virginia area as a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA, BCBA).
Referral Process
1. Service Coordinator competes intake packet and email to
2. Service Coordinator opens a service authorization (SA) in WAMS and alerts Evolve that it's open.
3. SA is completed by Evolve along with IPS and Part V
4. Service Coordinator reviews SA and sends for approval
5. Intake meeting is held with all stake holders
6. Once approved, services can be begin
